Cycling routes and trip suggestions
We are always helpful with tips and information about cycle routes and trip suggestions. If you have forgotten your bike at home, we can also recommend bike hire at Hansvik Sport, which is only a short walk away.
Experiences and activities
When it comes to activities, we can recommend a visit to the Rørvik Coastal Museum, where you can explore the history of the coastal towns’ biggest industries – fishing and aquaculture. We can also recommend a guided fishing trip in the Opløfjorden or island hopping with a kayak.
Where the land ends and the sea begins. Nordøyan has a rich history that stretches back to the 16th century. Nordøyan is available for all types of events for both companies and private individuals. They also offer accommodation in Nordøyan Lighthouse.

Join us out in the archipelago in a kayak, where you can feel the drag and swells from the great sea Folla, you can paddle into the sunset, and wake up on an island out in the sea gap.

“Rørvikdagan”
In week 30 each year, “Rørvikdagan” is organised. A festival that creates memories for a lifetime. Some previously known artists are Broiler, Matoma, Kamelen, Arif, Cezinando, Astrid S, Kurt Nilsen, Julie Bergan and Vinni.
During the day, a market, fairground and daytime concert are organised.

– A real festival we want to share with more people
Skreifestivalen is a food and culture festival that pays tribute to an important industry in Vikna and Ytre Namdal. Skreien has been important to the people here for centuries and is still important after the turn of the millennium. South of Lofoten, there is no other place where skrei fishing is – and has been – as important as in Vikna.
